Hardest

Had to have are beloved Zoey of 13 years put down on Wednesday. Zoey was hard to learn but loyal and full of love. Reflecting back she really just wanted to be around her family. She seemed to us a little demanding, but probably just had us trained and knew how to squeeze us for another puppy treat. She was a lot better than we ever knew. Never anything chewed (well almost never), would let her outside to roam the neighborhood and always came home without worry. She had her houses that she'd go to, bark enough and someone would open the door and out would come the food. She was a good protector of her little Dachshund sister and good to us. Hard decision for the fact she was still eating well, her earset was good and her tail still wagged, but her hips had been bone on bone for a few years and her incontinence was just getting worse. Falling became an everyday occurance and getting up a struggle. My wife kept telling me that she was suffering and I just didn't want to see it. Zoey's spirit to still love us despite her pains was just awesome. Zoe Zoe I am sorry if I kept you around to long but thank you for being you.
WE LOVE YOU!

  1. awe, i'm so sorry for your loss. it's terribly hard to let go of a pet, but i'm sure you gave her a wonderful life and that she's in a pleasant place now.

  2. Very Beautiful, just like Zoey! We will all miss her terribly and I'm greatful to GOD to have had the time we did with her. The greatest gift of love you can give an animal is to know when it's time to let them go to continue "their" journey, not "ours". It's not our job to question GOD's will, just to embrace it and learn from it. Ilove you Zoey and I will always remember you WO WO.
